Data Collected

The focus of the ABDR is to collect data at population level that covers:

  • All patients;
  • All breast device procedures;
  • All devices;
  • All surgeons; and
  • All locations across Australia.

To study longitudinally the safety and quality of breast device surgery in Australia by collecting data from patients:

  • At time of revision surgery;
  • At 1, 2, 5, 10 years.

To collect data that is useful to clinicians, government, industry and academics including data about:

  • Device failures;
  • Complications;
  • Revision rates.
